Fernando Gibaja has been appointed as General Manager at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray

Fernando Gibaja, a Spanish national, joins Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on Palm Jumeirah as the new General Manager, effective from 5 October 2014. Fernando Gibaja will be responsible for building on the success and reputation of the award-winning resort, taking over from the current General Manager Stephan Schupbach, who is promoted to Regional Vice President Operations for Jumeirah Group. He first joined Jumeirah in 2010 as General Manager of Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel and Spa to lead the pre-opening of the hotel and successfully led the operations of the stunning property in Mallorca. Fernando Gibaja’s industry experience spans over 20 years and includes roles with the Ritz-Carlton and Mandarin Oriental. He has worked across the USA, Mexico, Spain and Singapore, holding a number of senior positions in the areas of Food and Beverage and Banqueting, as well as Executive Assistant Manager and General Manager roles.
