The new Haikou Marriott Hotel, a brand new property that elevates the standard of five-star luxury in the city of Haikou, announces that veteran Marriott International executive Lily Jiang has been chosen to serve as its General Manager. As the first Marriott International business hotel in Hainan province, the Haikou Marriott Hotel will officially open in October. Lily is one of the relatively few women to attain the position of hotel general manager, and she is also one of only a small number of PRC nationals that has reached the level of general manager within the Marriott group. Over the course of her distinguished career Lily Jiang has garnered many years’ experience in top management positions for a diversity of high-profile properties and companies. These include the first platinum five-star hotel in central China, where she worked as marketing director early in her career, and the largest convention center and diplomatic hotel in Tianjin, where she served as General Manager. With Marriott International, Ms. Jiang has taken the role of General Manager of both Renaissance and Marriott properties, guiding hotels of both brands to achieve outstanding levels of performance. She comes to Haikou Marriott from the Renaissance Wuhan Hotel, the first Marriott hotel in Central China.
