Mr Perera joined Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket in March 2014 as a Executive Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage. Mr. Perera, a Malaysian national, brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked in the hotel industry for over 25 years. His experience includes time at Hyatt Hotels across the world in the role of Director of Food & Beverage in locations such as Indonesia, Singapore, Russia and Thailand. Mr. Perera holds an NTC-2 Certificate in Food & Beverage and he speaks fluent English and Bahasa Malay. In his new position, Mr Perera’s responsiblities include overseeing and managing the functioning of the resort’s 6 superb dining outlets, including: award-winning Italian restaurant La Trattoria; Ruen Thai Royal Thai cuisine restaurant; the beachfront Casuarina Beach Restaurant and Pub, the all-day dining venue Laguna Café; the Poolside Café and Horizon Lounge. He is also responsible for overseeing the Kitchen, the Sports & Activities department and other areas assigned by the General Manager.
