Mr. Abdou, who is originally from Egypt, can look back on over 20 years of experience in the hotel business. His most recent position was General Manager of the four-star Hotel Iberotel Club Fanara & Residence in Sharm El Sheikh. As General Manager of the Steigenberger Hotel Cecil in Alexandria, Mr. Abdul will make a major contribution to the successful repositioning of the hotel after its renovation. The new Steigenberger Hotel Tahrir Square in Cairo is scheduled to open as early as in 2016 and will represent Steigenberger's seventh establishment in the country, in addition to three Nile ships.
