David Newton was promoted to senior general manager for London. Reporting directly to Shaun Hinds, managing director of international operations at BridgeStreet, Newton will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and business performance of BridgeStreet’s London market. “David has been a tremendous ambassador for our company over the past 10 years,” said Shaun Hinds. “We’re looking forward to applying his vast sector knowledge and experience on a larger scale, directly impacting BridgeStreet’s growth in the UK.” In his new role, Newton will lead the existing management team to continue to improve quality, efficiency and profitability. Working within BridgeStreet’s group matrix structure, Newton will oversee the functional support areas of reservations, procurement and development and sales and account management, as well as ensure the business is adequately resourced.
