Mark Heywood has been appointed as General Manager at New World Manila Bay Hotel

Mr. Heywood has more than 35 years hotel experience, most spent in Asia and including 23 years in hotel general manager positions. Most recently, he was area manager and general manager at Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel for five years following 19 years as general manager of various Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts properties in the Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia and Thailand. His upcoming posting will be his fourth assignment in Manila. Mr. Heywood began his career with Holiday Inn in the Middle East. New World Manila Bay Hotel, currently operating as the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Casino Manila, is located in the heart of the Malate Manila district with easy access to business and shopping areas, as well as historical attractions such as Intramuros, and the Cultural Centre of the Philippines.
