JW Marriott, a part of Marriott International’s luxury portfolio, appointed Rubal Chaudhry general
manager of its Chandigarh operations. In this role, he would oversee the guest and associate
satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation, overall
performance and strategy execution of the hotel.
Chaudhary, whose career in the hospitality industry spans over 17 years, possesses a discerning
knowledge of the industry. He has worked with various brands. In his previous assignment, the
economics graduate from DAV College, Punjab University, successfully established Hilton New
Delhi, Janakpuri, as one of West Delhi’s leading hotels.
He holds a post-graduate diploma from the International Management Institute, Switzerland, and a
master’s in business administration (MBA) in hospitality administration from Johnson and Wales
University, Providence, Rhode Island, USA. Chaudhary started his career from being a night
manager with The Best Western Bay Point Inn, USA.
Having done his education from the United States, he possesses first-hand knowledge of the Indian
and American market dynamics. He has abeen lauded for his proactive initiatives for employees,
for being a great mentor, and for having trained managers from questionable performance to
above-average performance.
