Smit brings 10 years of experience to his new role at Hilton Durban. In his former role as the Assistant Front Office Manager at The Michelangelo Hotel in Sandton, he was responsible for overseeing the front office operations such as the service, quality and overall experience of guests. Prior to Michelangelo Hotel, Smit had a year as front office supervisor at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans in U.S., giving him great international experience. Prior to his year in the U.S., he was with Champagne Sports Resort and the Makaranga Garden Lodge in KwaZulu Natal.
