Hossam Kamal has been appointed as General Manager at Salalah Rotana Resort

A 20-year hospitality veteran, Kamal has worked with the Rotana Group for over a decade, in properties spanning the UAE and Egypt. Commenting on his appointment, Kamal declared: “The resort’s many successes in its opening year is promising and means there is vast potential for growth which I look forward to exploring. My team is ambitious, passionate and eager to develop professionally and I hope to share my years in this industry with them while also learning from them. Our aim is to continue to raise benchmarks as a landmark in setting the tone of hospitality in Oman to drive the industry’s development.” Throughout his hospitality career, Kamal spent four years as the general manager of Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa, Al Aqah Beach; nearly three years as the executive assistant manager of The Cove Rotana Resort; and three years at Grand Rotana Resort and Spa, Sharm El Sheikh as director of front office and director of rooms. His experience spans the Rotana Group, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and InterContinental Hotels Group. His strengths lie in his ability to identify key projects, expand existing business with strong sales techniques and win over customer loyalty. Kamal also boasts extensive experience in developing and leading teams to ensure first-class hotel operations that stimulate growth and success.
