Carlisle Bay, Antigua has announced the appointment of seasoned hotelier John Rogers as General Manager for the five-star, 82-suite luxury Caribbean resort. With 25 years’ experience managing award-winning destination properties around the globe, British-born Rogers brings an impressive background in luxury resort operations to Carlisle Bay. Rogers has held roles as General Manager at the Hotel Tresanton in Cornwall, UK; La Residencia in Mallorca; Anantara Resorts and Spas in Abu Dhabi and Bali, and most recently, the Hideaway Nungi Resort and Spa in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Rogers’ wealth of knowledge in 5-star resort hospitality is set to ensure the continuation of the luxury experience long perfected at Carlisle Bay. Rogers’ appointment comes at an exciting time for Carlisle Bay following an extensive enhancement program including the opening of the waterside Jetty Grill restaurant and the addition of 6 luxurious new Bay Suites. Antigua is also poised to welcome expanded air lift into the new terminal at V.C. Bird International Airport.
