Frank Naboulsi, Regional Vice President Fairmont Raffles Hotels International (FRHI) – Egypt, announced the promotion of Magdi Gamil as Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing, FRHI – Egypt. Gamil’s scope now includes Citystars Sharm Elsheikh tri-brand complex and any new projects in Egypt in addition to his current role as Director of Sales & Marketing, Fairmont Nile City. Gamil joined FRHI in March 2007 and has been serving as Fairmont Nile City’s Director of Sales & Marketing since 2011. FRHI announced earlier this year the 2014 Fairmont Brand Awards’ winners naming Gamil “2014 Director of Sales & Marketing.” That award recognizes Gamil for his outstanding performance, dedication, and commitment in leading the Sales & Marketing division at Fairmont Nile City to succeed and excel in a very critical period earning them the award of “2014 Team of the Year.” Gamil was awarded the coveted President’s Circle honor, an award only presented when exceeding targets and accomplishing this high standards at least three times with the company. The President’s Circle honor is the highest award afforded to Fairmont Sellers. This is not the only recognition that Gamil received, he has been awarded “Employee of the Year” and “Best Seller” awards multiple times throughout his career. Gamil has an impressive career portfolio with over 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry and multiple 5 star hotels where he held several posts with Starwood Hotels & Resorts before joining Fairmont Raffles Hotels International to reach his most recent post as Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International – Egypt.
