Fiona Moores has been appointed as Hotel Director at THE PIG at Combe

The Pig at Combe – set to open next year following its transformation from Combe House hotel – has appointed Fiona Moores as hotel director. Moores will join the hotel in early 2016 from her current position as general manager at the Magdalan Chapter hotel in Exeter. The Magdalen Chapter and sister hotel, the Montpellier Chapter in Cheltenham – owned by Hong Kong-based Swire Properties – are currently being marketed for sale. Moores was the opening general manager at the Magdalen Chapter when it launched in 2012, having previously run the hotel since 2002 under its former guise as the Hotel Barcelona under the ownership of the Alias Hotel Group.

Fiona Moores is an alumnus of Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology – Class of 1993.

The Pig is a personal collection of small boutique hotels where the focus is on authenticity and informality of design, food and service. There are now eight hotels located in the South Coast Counties in England. Each Pig hotel has approximately 30 bedrooms housed in a historic building complete with a garden-inspired restaurant, a kitchen garden and land for animals, serving food that is either grown on property or locally sourced.
