DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston North Shore has announced the appointment of Alon Ben-Gurion as general manager. Drawing on more than three decades of hotel experience, including success at addresses in New York, Washington, D.C. and Chicago, Ben-Gurion is responsible for all operations of the 363-room Salem, Mass. hotel. Ben-Gurion most recently advised in the hospitality industry. Prior, he lead the Hilton Westchester in Rye Brook, N.Y. as general manager, where he oversaw a $30 million dollar renovation of the 37-acre resort style hotel. Ben-Gurion transitioned the hotel through three ownership changes, introduced the highly successful farm-to-fork restaurant and achieved and maintained the competitive set's highest group RevPar. Previously, Ben-Gurion served as hotel manager for seven years at the historic Waldorf Astoria New York and resident manager at Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. With a background in food and beverage, Ben-Gurion was the director of food & beverage at Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch and served as the assistant director of food & beverage at Hyatt Regency Chicago.
