Yvette Thomas-Henry has been appointed as General Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta

Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta is thrilled to announce the appointment of Yvette Thomas-Henry as General Manager of the leading luxury hotel in the city. A respected leader in the luxury hospitality arena, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role at the hotel. Thomas-Henry arrived in Atlanta shortly after the opening of Bar Margot, the new restaurant which has already been named the place to 'sip and be seen,' by the likes of Travel + Leisure. A new partnership with Porsche, a room refresh of the hotel's guest rooms and a newly redesigned Penthouse Ballroom on the 50th floor with stunning views across the city, are just a few things she will get to show off as she makes the rounds of introducing herself to guests, locals, visitors and a host of other new friends she'll encounter in her new post. Thomas-Henry joins Four Seasons Atlanta from one of the company's iconic hotels-Four Seasons Hotel New York-where she served as hotel manager since 2013. Thomas-Henry's run with Four Seasons began as Director of Rooms in New York in 2007 and then moved between east coast properties and become Hotel Manager in Washington, D.C. in 2011. She returned as the same to New York in 2013, she was thrust into the role of acting general manager following the overseas transfer of the hotel's longtime leader. As a female GM in an industry dominated by her male counterparts, Thomas-Henry now finds herself in an admirable position of playing with the big boys and leading as a GM at Four Seasons. Nothing if not confident, she believes this is an opportune time for women to aspire to leadership positions such as hers. On that note, Thomas-Henry puts advancement of women in hospitality where her mind is. She is active in the Women in Leadership Executive Council of the American Hospitality & Lodging Association, and has longed mentored young women on their way up. Away from the hotel, Thomas-Henry likes travel - short and long and enjoys to get her distance covered on rollerblades, a talent she honed in Central Park. Her favorite getaways often take her faraway with girlfriends and close family. Meantime, she has Atlanta: "The social scene here is thriving. There's dining. There's culture. There's art. What doesn't this city hold?" Born in St. Thomas, USVI, and raised in St. Croix, Thomas-Henry credits her Mother, Althea Thomas, for constantly reminding her to be the best at whatever she does. She is married to her high school sweetheart and now husband of 22 years, Thomas Henry. Together, they're the parents of college student sons, Myles and Jarrod. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Language Pathology, Pace University, New York; Masters of Science in Administration for Human Service, Audrey Cohen College, New York.
