Mohammad Abuharba has been appointed as Area GM for Makkah at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG)

InterContinental Hotels Group have appointed a new area general manager for its hotels in the Makkah province of Saudi Arabia. Mohammad Abuharba, who is the current general manager for Dar Al Tawhid InterContinental Makkah, has been promoted to area general manager for all IHG properties in the Makkah area. Mohammad Abuharba brings 23 years of hospitality industry experience to this role, and has worked with both the IHG and Starwood groups. In his new role, Abuharba will be responsible for overseeing the opening of the new 1226 room Holiday Inn Makkah Aziziya. He will also be responsible for the opening of the world’s largest Holiday Inn property, the Holiday Inn Tayseer, which will offer 5154 rooms.
