With more than ten years of experience, Matthew Echevarria, Certified Wedding & Event Planner (CWEP) and Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), is an accomplished professional in event planning and management. Prior to joining The Westin Fort Lauderdale, Echevarria most recently served as a senior event sales manager at The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, where he was responsible for driving catering sales and operations. Striving to create a distinct customer experience, as director of catering and conference services, Echevarria ensures guests are aware of today’s catering trends, while piecing together an individual’s unique vision for their event. His responsibilities include increasing revenue and generating leads for the hotel’s wedding and social catering business.
