Sam Kapadia has been appointed as General Manager at The DoubleTree Hotel & Suites by Houston by the Galleria

The DoubleTree Hotel & Suites by Houston by the Galleria (5353 Westheimer Road) has announced Sam Kapadia as its new General Manager, effective immediately. He has 31 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry to oversee all aspects of this asset including operations, customer relations, sales and revenue for the 476-room hotel. In this role, he will also develop and manage a team of 130, introduce a new food and beverage concept, whilst executing a smooth transition for the all-suite hotel as it evolves via a comprehensive renovation into a contemporary hotel with a range of guest rooms, suites and extended stay options. Prior to joining the hotel, Kapadia represented and managed renowned hotels, both internationally and domestically in the US. He began his career in 1984 with Taj Hotels and Resorts Hotels, with management positions in Europe, India and U.S.A. Fifteen years later, he moved on to the Radisson Lexington NYC, where he was the Director of Operations. Later Sam successfully transitioned to a General Manager role and converted the Metropolitan Hotel NYC into a flagship DoubleTree hotel. Since then, he has served as a General Manager for a variety of exceptional and recognized hotels in New York City.
