Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach - Dubai has appointed Jacques Reynders as its new Director of Recreation. A true fitness guru with 17 years of experience within the wellness and fitness industry, Jacques Reynders not only holds a Diploma in Sports Science but is also a qualified RPM/body pump instructor, lifeguard, personal trainer and cycle lab endurance instructor. Having reached the pinnacle of his career at independent fitness centres and craving a new challenge, Jacques jumped onboard the hotel bandwagon when he joined the Rotana family as Recreation Manager in 2005, part of the opening team of Al Bustan Rotana in Dubai. He then progressed through the ranks within the company successfully opening Zen the spa and Bodylines Fitness and Wellness Clubs at more than six different Rotana hotels before joining the team at Amwaj Rotana as Director of Recreation. In his new role at Amwaj Rotana, Jacques will not only oversee operational aspects of the gymnasium and recreational facilities but will also spearhead significant campaigns to drive growth of the membership, engagement of hotel guests and relook the current recreational offering.
