The five-red-AA-star, 210-bedroom Berkeley hotel, London, has announced the appointment of Knut Wylde as general manager.
Wylde replaces Justin Pinchbeck who is leaving the property to take up the role of chief operating officer of Beaverbrook, a new luxury country house hotel and golf resort, near Leatherhead, Surrey.
Currently hotel manager at sister property, Claridge’s in Mayfair, where he joined in March 2014, Wylde was previously director of operations at Coworth Park in Ascot. He earlier worked in London at the Savoy, St Pancreas Renaissance, 45 Park Lane and the Lanesborough.
German-born Wylde started his career at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg more than 20 years ago. His international experience includes stints with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in Switzerland, Saudi Arabia and the Caribbean, as well as at the One & Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives.
