Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina, BVI recently appointed three industry veterans to fill key director-level positions at the resort – general manager, executive chef and director of human resources. New general manager Federico Ciampi is a 10-year veteran of the hospitality industry, who was previously general manager at the Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel in Manchester, England. Prior to his time in Manchester, Ciampi served as general manager at The Glasshouse Hotel, a Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel in Edinburgh, Scotland. Ciampi has a proven track record at a number of four- and five-star hotel properties around the world, where he has successfully increased revenue, raised quality of service and shown the ability to manage efforts in all departments of a hotel. As general manager of Scrub Island Resort, Ciampi will direct all departments, operations and revenue management, with a specific focus on food and beverage and overall guest experiences.
