Scott Vogel has been appointed as Executive Chef at Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina

Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina, BVI recently appointed three industry veterans to fill key director-level positions at the resort – general manager, executive chef and director of human resources. A nearly 30-year veteran of the culinary industry, Scott Vogel, joins the Scrub Island Resort team as the new executive chef. Vogel comes to Scrub Island Resort from IAT Consulting Group in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he was principal partner and executive chef. IAT focused on every aspect of restaurants, from architecture to management. Vogel has a multi-faceted food and beverage background that includes executive chef positions, restaurant concept development and restaurant ownership. Vogel has earned numerous awards and accolades, including Best New Chef and Best New Restaurant in Boulder, Colorado; runner up in the Top Chef Tampa Bay competition in 2013; and his most recent restaurant, Café Alma in St. Pete Beach, Florida, was ranked one of Florida’s Top 10 restaurants in 2009.
