A 25-year veteran of the hospitality industry, 15 of which are with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Kelly Steward has recently joined The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage as general manager. In this new role, Steward will lead overall brand growth strategy while overseeing all hotel operations. Beginning her career Indiana, Steward joined The Ritz-Carlton in 2001 as guest services manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples. Since then, Steward has served in various front-of-house and operations managing positions worldwide for The Ritz-Carlton in St. Louis, Dallas, Charlotte, N.C. and Los Angeles, before arriving at her most recent position as general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland. During her career with The Ritz-Carlton, Steward has been recognized as a master analyst and was nominated in 2005 for the JW Marriott Award of Excellence. She is also a certified Leadership Center Speaking Ambassador and has served as an opening trainer for 19 Ritz-Carlton properties. Steward holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from Ohio State University and enjoys being an active member of the community.
