Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced new General Manager appointments for hotels in Hong Kong, Taipei and Tokyo. Paul Jones has succeeded Anthony Costa as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo. With more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Mr Jones embarked on his career with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in 2005 as Hotel Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. In 2008, he was appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Singapore before leaving to oversee the launch of Mandarin Oriental, Taipei in 2012 where he has positioned the hotel as one of most iconic luxury properties in the region.
