Alastair Storey has been appointed as President at Institute of Hospitality

Alastair Storey
Alastair Storey, the chairman and chief executive of hospitality business Westbury Street Holdings (WSH), is to become the new president of the Institute of Hospitality (IoH). He will officially take over the post on 13 June, from outgoing president Sir David Michels, the former chief executive of Hilton. After a successful career with Sutcliffe, latterly as chief executive, Storey founded Wilson Storey in 2000, which then became BaxterStorey. The company has grown steadily and now has annual sales of more than £600m and over 18,000 employees. In 2012, Storey was ranked as the most influential person in the hospitality industry in a list of 100 industry professionals compiled by The Caterer. As the new president of the IoH he will act as an ambassador, help shape the Institute strategy and participate in its calendar of events.
