Philippe Renaud has been appointed as Director of Sales at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, Muscat

Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, Muscat has welcomed Philippe Renaud as the resort’s new director of sales. A Canadian national, Renaud has been a hotelier for more than 15 years, with his interest in hospitality and hotels sparked when he was 19 years old on a trip to Las Vegas. Born and raised in Montreal, Renaud studied at the La Salle College in Montreal and earned a Diploma degree in Hotel Management with honours, in addition to enrolling himself in various hospitality programmes and completing them throughout his professional career. The start of his career was as a night manager in a city hotel in Vancouver before he moved to the sales and marketing department as a sales coordinator a year later. He was promoted to national sales manager in another property and eventually joined Shangri-La Vancouver as a senior sales manager in November 2010.
