Marcus Sutton has been appointed as General Manager at Crowne Plaza Doha

Crowne Plaza Doha has appointed Marcus Sutton as the new general manager for the Qatar hotel. Sutton’s appointment at the 378 room property is effective from this month. Sutton brings nearly 17 years of hospitality experience with him to the Doha hotel. Originally from Australia, he has previously worked in the hospitality industry in London, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Jordan. His education has included stints at Macquarie University, International College of Management in Sydney, Australia and Institut Hotelier Cesar Ritz in Le Bouveret, Switzerland. Sutton joins the Crowne Plaza Doha directly from sister property Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi, where he also held the position of general manager. Sutton’s previous roles also include hotel manager for Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City and InterContinental Dubai Festival City; and executive assistant manager, rooms division for Crowne Plaza, InterContinental and InterContinental Residences Suites Dubai Festival City.

Marcus Sutton is an alumnus of The International College of Management (ICMS) – Class of 1997.
