Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Allan Wong as General Manager of Pan Pacific Tianjin, which is located in the largest harbour city of northern China. Allan brings to the Group more than 20 years of extensive experience from managing hotels in the thriving cities of Ningbo, Shenzhen and Tianjin under international brands such as Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza. As an accountancy graduate from the University of Mississippi, Allan began his career in hotel finance and earned increasingly senior management roles through his journey in China, where the Malaysia-born hotelier has been based since 1993. This included several years with Tianjin Modern Group, a leading property developer based in China, where Allan was involved in hotel investment, asset management, as well as the construction and pre-opening of owned hotels. Most recently, Allan headed up Tianjin Modern Group’s hotel business as its General Manager and was responsible for the construction of the Four Seasons Hotel and Residence in Tianjin. As General Manager of Pan Pacific Tianjin, Allan will oversee and manage the daily operations of the property, which features 289 guestrooms and 30 serviced suites.
