Al Manshar Rotana has appointed Dan Dominic as its new Learning and Development Manager. An Indian national, Dan is holding a Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management from the Merit Swiss Asian School of India. In 2014, he started the TAROT programme for Learning and Development and successfully finished and mastered it after 18 months. Dan however is not new in hospitality business, he started his career in year 2011 as a Guest Service Agent at ITC Grand Chola Hotel in India. In 2012, he pursued his career in Dubai, United Arab Emirates at Al Murooj Rotana for almost two years before he transferred to Rose Rayhaan by Rotana as a TAROT participant. Dan will be responsible in managing the hotel’s training function in order to promote the desired work culture of Rotana. His role involves emerging and steering training courses as well as facilitating training workshops based on operational requirements and will include key responsibilities such as: analysing Colleague Development needs in the hotel, deliver a selection of professional quality training, development programmes and evaluate the effectiveness of training delivery by supervisors. Conduct ‘Colleague Development Needs’ analysis, prepare an Annual Learning & Development Plan and budget accordingly. He will also do the selection of Departmental Trainers, assist them in training and shaping them through ongoing workshops.
