Christian Wurm has been appointed as General Manager at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin and THE BARAI

Hyatt Regency Hua Hin and THE BARAI are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Christian Wurm as General Manager. At this luxurious beachfront resort with a 315-metre stretch of sandy beach located in the royal city of Thailand, Mr. Wurm’s responsibilities will include strategic direction, managing the hotel’s day-to-day operations of the 213-room property, which also includes the award-winning residential spa, THE BARAI – all to ensure that the guests have best hospitality experiences. A Neustadt/Weinstrasse, Germany-born citizen, Mr. Wurm brings with him many years of experience working in luxury hotels across various regions, including Four Seasons Resort Maldives, Raffles Resort Canouan Island and Burj Al Arab. In 2008, he began his career at Hyatt as Executive Assistant Manager at Park Hyatt Sydney and was appointed General Manager of Park Hyatt Chennai in 2013. With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Wurm aims to use his expertise to further strengthen the overall performance of Hyatt Regency Hua Hin and THE BARAI. Mr. Christian Wurm currently resides in Hua Hin with his wife, Priya, and two beautiful daughters, Leah (10 years old) and Anya (7 years old). The culinary arts have always been his passion. He commenced his career as a chef and worked for several restaurants, including Alt Luxemburg, which is Berlin’s selected Michelin one-star address. A graduate in economics from the Hotel Management School in Berlin, Mr. Wurm also has a certificate in Strategic Hotel Management from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA.

Christian Wurm is an alumnus of Hotelfachschule Berlin – Class of 1990.
