Stuart Thomson has been appointed as the new executive vice president of global human resources at Kerzner International. Within his new role, Thomson will lead global recruitment activities to support Kerzner’s growth into new areas. Thomson started his career in human resources, working with the Hyatt Regency in Auckland, New Zealand. Since then, he has gained over 15 years of experience in hospitality and human resources. Thomson joins Kerzner directly from Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he spent six years in London, before moving to the Middle East to take on the role of Starwood Hotels & Resorts regional director of human resources Middle East. In this role, Thomson was responsible for over 50 properties and approximately 20,000 employees. Thomson also supported the opening of properties in the region such as St. Regis Abu Dhabi, St. Regis Dubai and Luxury Collection Ajman Saray.
