Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s largest and most dynamic hotel groups, today announced the appointment of Scott McConnell as director, Global Sales – Leisure, Asia Pacific. Scott will be spearheading the global sales for the leisure segment, leveraging on Carlson Rezidor’s innovative sales avenues, delivering greater revenue streams to the group’s portfolio of hotels. He will be responsible for key account management and the acquisition of new accounts, working in tandem with the Asia Pacific Commercial team. A seasoned industry professional with over 18 years’ experience, Scott was most recently the global account director with Langham Hospitality Group where he was responsible for the management of the leisure, travel, MICE and entertainment markets for their global portfolio. He also has a rich understanding of on-property sales having served positions at several hotels in Australia and the Millennium London Mayfair. Scott has a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Tourism degree from Monash University in Melbourne. He is based in Sydney and reports to Cathy O’Connor, senior director, Global Sales – MICE, Asia Pacific.
