François-Xavier Schoeffer has been appointed Hotel Manager at Hotel Café Royal in London
Hotel Café Royal has promoted François-Xavier Schoeffer to hotel manager and taken on Benjamin Hofer as F&B director and Hendrik Hübner as front of house manager. The appointments come three months after the arrival of managing director Thomas Kochs, who became the first managing director for the 160-bedroom hotel following the departure of two general managers – Louis Sailer and Anthony Lee. Kochs was followed in April by Stephen Alder, formerly chief executive of the Maybourne Group. François-Xavier Schoeffer joined Hotel Café Royal in 2013 as director of operations. His previous experience in the luxury hospitality sector includes management roles at Hotel Café Royal’s sister property, Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam, and director of operations at Parisian Hotel Lutetia. Schoeffer was born in France, where he studied hotel marketing and management, and he has also worked at several hotels in France, including Hotel Martinez, Cannes and the Westin Paris.
