Hyatt has announced that Michael Schmid has been appointed as the new General Manager of Park Hyatt Mallorca, Spain. The Park Hyatt brand’s first resort in Europe opened on 1st June 2016 and marks the re-entry of Hyatt into Spain. Schmid is a Swiss national, raised in Latin America and educated in Switzerland. He holds a Bachelor Degree in International Hospitality Management from the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne and joins Park Hyatt Mallorca from his latest assignment as General Manager of Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort, Costa Rica.
