Judy Whidden has been appointed as Director of Leisure Sales at Nobu Hotel Miami Beach

Nobu Hotel Miami Beach is pleased to announce the appointment of Judy Whidden as the Director of Leisure Sales. Whidden is currently supervising the department for the Morris Lapidus-designed resort Eden Roc Miami Beach until the opening of Nobu Hotel Miami Beach this October when she will oversee leisure sales for both properties. The appointment is part of Eden Roc Miami Beach’s transformation into a Nobu-inspired experience which will house Nobu Hotels’ flagship property and Nobu Miami, the beloved Miami outpost of Chef Nobu Matsuhisa's new Japanese cuisine empire. As Director of Leisure Sales, Whidden will be responsible for designing and implementing sales strategies for Nobu Hotel Miami Beach’s 206 distinctive guest rooms and three penthouse suites designed by renowned architect David Rockwell. She will work closely with luxury travel agents and tour operators to deliver a fun-luxury experience with Nobu touch points for guests and pay homage to Eden Roc Miami Beach’s venerable heritage. With over 13 years of experience in working with tour operators, product marketing, sales and business development, Whidden brings a powerful network to her new role. Whidden joins the resort after three years at the 5* hotel Viceroy Anguilla where she grew domestic tour operator accounts to over 6.2 million in sales and nurtured relationships with travel agencies netting 10 million. Prior to this appointment, Whidden also spent ten years at The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company in the sales and marketing department, strategically planning and implementing marketing opportunities for seven properties located throughout the Caribbean. With extensive knowledge of domestic and key international markets alike, Whidden will be a key player in relaunching the iconic Eden Roc Miami Beach and offering guests access to a new world of Nobu.
