Fady Sawaya has been promoted to area general manager for KSA East and general manager for InterContinental Al Khobar, effective July 24 2016. Sawaya will oversee the operation of InterContinental Al Jubail, InterContinental Al Ahsa and Crowne Plaza Al Khobar. Sawaya has gained more than 20 years of hospitality experience in managing sales, operations and business support. Sawaya started his career with IHG in 1996 as assistant banquet manager at InterContinental Riyadh, before moving to front office manager in 2004 at Phoenicia InterContinental Beirut, and later as room division manager at InterContinental Abu Dhabi in 2007.
