Jumeirah Group, the global luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, has appointed Francesco (Franco) Becci as Restaurant Manager of The Rib Room Bar & Restaurant at Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London’s Knightsbridge. Franco joins the Jumeirah Carlton Tower team with a wealth of food and beverage experience gathered during his 40-year career in the industry. His most recent role was Restaurant Manager of French fine dining restaurant Roux at the Landau, a position he held for 9 years. Having studied hotel management in his native Italy, Franco began his hospitality career at the four-star Caravelle Hotel in Venice before moving to London in 1982. Since then he has enjoyed a number of senior restaurant roles at some of London’s most prestigious hotels including The Savoy, Browns Hotel and, most recently, The Langham. Reporting to Director of Food & Beverage Charl Leicester, Franco will oversee all aspects of The Rib Room Bar & Restaurant operations. Once described by Tatler magazine as running his restaurants with “uncommon warmth and humour”, he brings his well-known charm and attention to detail to the role.
