Alphonse Island has appointed Gordy Rankin as the new General Manager of Alphonse Island
Hotel, Seychelles, a private island located 400 km from the mainland of Mahé and just 7° south
of the equator.

ultimate island for guests seeking Indian Ocean seclusion and extraordinary experiences that

In his new role of General Manager, Rankin will oversee the guest experience of the spectacular
island in Seychelles, which comprises of twenty-one Beach Bungalows and five Beach Suites.
Regular recipients of five star reviews on Trip Advisor, Rankin will head up and manage the hotel
staff team. Renowned for his effervescent, energetic personality, Rankin will further enhance the
luxury experience for visitors, including wellness offering, extensive experiences, dive centre,
snorkeling and family-oriented excursions.
Rankin has extensive experience in the luxury hotel industry, gained during twenty-five years
working at the most prestigious ski resorts in Austria and Italy including: St Johann, Saalbach,
Kitzbuhel and Livigno. He left the slopes of Europe and headed to the Cayman Islands where he
established and managed Cayman Jetski Fishing and Safaris as well as The Cayman Glass Bottom
