Viceroy Hotel Group has revealed the appointment of Mark Griffiths to the role of regional vice president and managing director at Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi. Griffiths will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Viceroy’s flagship Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi as well as the group’s upcoming openings including Viceroy Palm Jumeirah Dubai, Viceroy Princes’ Islands Istanbul, Viceroy Jumeirah Village Dubai and Viceroy Algarve. With over 26 years of experience in the luxury hospitality world, Griffiths joins from Kempinski Hotels where he served as senior vice president operations – Middle East & Africa with overall responsibility for the region’s 23 operating and pre-opening hotels. Prior to joining Kempinski Hotels, Griffiths was the general manager of Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, spearheading the opening of the Kuwait property.
