Giovanni Beretta has been appointed as Vice President USA & General Manager at EAST, Miami

Swire Hotels has announced the appointment of Giovanni Beretta to the position of Vice President of Swire Hotels in the USA & General Manager of EAST, Miami. With over 20 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry, he will oversee Swire Hotels interests in the USA & Americas and the operations of the newly opened lifestyle hotel and residences at Brickell City Centre. Beretta joins EAST, Miami after most recently working at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York. As Managing Director, he oversaw all areas of the legendary Upper East Side hotel, including The Carlyle Restaurant, Bemelmans Bar, Cafe Carlyle and Sense Spa. Previously, Beretta worked for the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in San Francisco and Miami, and for Intercontinental Hotel Group – the latter for over 13 years.In 1995, Beretta graduated from the prestigious Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland. Over the course of his career, he has overseen multiple hotel renovations and the opening of a dozen different upscale food and beverage outlets. His experience includes business and resort properties, as well as luxury hotels with a private residences component in several cities across Europe, Latin America, Australia and the United States. Giovanni is fluent in five languages including Italian, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. He now resides in Miami, Florida with his wife and 2 children, and on his free time enjoys fine wine, motorcycles, Juventus and cooking.
