(NYSE:HST), the leading lodging real estate investment trust and owners of luxury and upper upscale hotels worldwide, is pleased to announce that Tim Herrmann is joining the hotel’s leadership team this month, bringing over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry. The iconic 1360-room hotel recently underwent an approximate $107 million investment into its meeting & event venues, delivering one of the largest and most impressive event spaces on the West Coast. The newly appointed General Manager, Tim Herrmann, began his Marriott career 33-years ago in F&B operations at Marriott’s Rancho Las Palmas Resort. During his illustrious career, Tim has worked at eight Marriott properties including The Maui Marriott, Marriott’s Harbor Beach, Boston Copley, The Philadelphia Marriott, Hollywood Renaissance, Coronado Island Marriott Resort and the Santa Clara Marriott. For the past three years, Tim served as the General Manager at the Santa Clara Marriott where he and his team were recognized by Host Hotels as Hotel of the Year in 2013 and were again nominated in 2014 and 2015 as well as recognized for increasing the hotel’s revenue by 22%.
