A British national, Busfield is a seasoned hotelier, encompassing more than 30 years in the
hospitality industry. Prior to joining the Shangri-La group and being assigned in the Philippines,
Busfield comes from international chains as a general manager, with a strong sales and
marketing background. She handled hotels and resorts in Europe and Asia Pacific, including
Britain, Hong Kong, Brunei, Australia, Fiji and Phuket.
Busfield replaces Ester Marcaida, who will move on to handle various Shangri-La projects.
“After two years, I am confident to leave Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa in the capable
hands of Anne. I am positive she will continue to helm the resort’s consistent success with the
help of the entire team,” Marcaida said.
