Milan Drager has been promoted to General Manager at Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa

The German national joins from Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney, where he was resident manager since 2014. In his new role in Oman, he will oversee the repositioning of Shangri-La Al Husn Hotel as a standalone hotel, differentiated from nearby sister properties, Al Waha Hotel and Al Bandar Hotel, which comprise Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa. As general manager of Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa, Drager holds full responsibility for financial results and operational resources. Previously, he worked with other luxury hotel brands including Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Ritz Carlton Hotels, and Mandarin Oriental Hotels across markets in Switzerland, California, Spain, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Australia and Asia. In 2011 Drager graduated from École Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland with an executive MBA, which led to his appointment with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts as EAM at the Tokyo flagship property. From there he assisted in the opening of Shangri-La Residences Yangon, followed by the re-branding of Sule Shangri-La, Yangon, both in Myanmar.
