Crowne Plaza & Staybridge Suites Abu Dhabi Yas Island has appointed Hanita Haidar as director of finance and business support. Bringing more than two decades of experience in finance and asset management, Haidar acquired her finance degree from the University of East London in 1991. Haidar started her hospitality career as an accounts and finance manager at Radisson Langkawi in 1994, rising to the role of financial controller in 1996. She joined IHG in 2001 as assistant finance controller at the Crowne Plaza Mutiara Kuala Lumpur, moving into the director of finance role in 2010 where she also held the cluster finance & business support champion role for Malaysia supporting the four IHG hotels in the country. During her tenure with IHG, Haidar has acquired several awards such as “Finance Hero for Southern Asia & Korea in 2008” and “Business Support Leader of the Year 2011”. Before moving to the UAE with IHG, Haidar held the director of finance role with Hilton Kuala Lumpur since 2013.
