In Mr. Schmidt's new position, he is responsible for the new 304-suite resort's next generation of all-inclusive amenities and facilities including a selection of gourmet specialty restaurants led by top chefs, including two star Michelin chef Sidney Schutte; world class Se Spa; staff ratio of 3 to 1; exceptional meeting facilities, and commitment to the environment. Grand Velas Los Cabos is the newest resort of Mexico's Velas Resorts with over 25 years of tradition in hospitality.
Andreas Schmidt has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Most recently, he acted as Brand and Quality Director at Karisma Hotels & Resorts with properties throughout Europe, the Caribbean and Mexico. Prior to, he held the management positions at the top-rated Le Blanc Spa Resort in Cancun, Intercontinental and Hilton International. Mr. Schmidt has completed Professional Development Programs (PDP) at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration. Of German nationality, he speaks German, English and Spanish.
