Berjaya Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Neto as the new General Manager of The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort and Redang Island Resort in Redang Island, Malaysia. Prior to joining Berjaya Hotels & Resorts, Peter was the General Manager of Cassia Cottage on Phu Quoc Island. Born in Portugal, and growing up in Canada, Peter has worked for international hotel brands including Le Meridian, JW Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton, Rocco Forte Hotels and YTL Hotels & Resorts in Canada, United Kingdom, Bahrain, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia in a hospitality career spanning more than two decades. He also brings with him pre-opening experience of two new properties in South East Asia, which included overseeing design and procurement, implementing sales and marketing strategies as well as developing food and beverage concepts for the new properties.
