Prior to joining the Anaheim Marriott, Ms. Markis was General Manager at Marriott Fullerton at California State University, and she has also held positions as Assistant General Manager at the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort, General Manager at Hyatt Place Riverside/Downtown, and General Manager at Hyatt Place Ontario-Rancho Cucamonga. A rising star in her own right, Ms. Markis was recently featured in Hotel Management Magazine as one of the "Top 33 GM's to Watch." She has already amassed impressive credentials, taking her first general manager position at just 21 years of age in 2009. As Resident Manager, Ms. Markis' responsibilities include development and execution of the hotel service strategy; overseeing rooms operations strategy including the front office, housekeeping, recreation, and safety and security; and driving associate awareness and engagement in safe working practices to promote associate welfare.
