The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia is proud to announce the appointment of Leonard Buckley as general manager. Mr. Buckley joins the historic hotel with thirty nine years of hospitality management experience. A tenured industry veteran, Mr. Buckley will be responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel. As a Philadelphia native, Mr. Buckley began his hospitality career while working toward his Marketing degree at Drexel University. Prior to joining Starwood Hotels and Resorts, he held various operational roles at Canadian Pacific Franklin Plaza and Bellevue Hotel, then operated by Cunard Hotels. In 1999, Mr. Buckley began his Starwood Hotels journey as General Manager of the Sheraton Philadelphia Airport Complex and was later promoted to the Sheraton Park Ridge Hotel and Conference Center. After six years, Mr. Buckley joined the North Regional team as the Senior Director of Franchise Operations representing over 35 hotels in the Mid-Atlantic area. Through the years Mr. Buckley has been a subject matter expert for various hotel ownership groups supporting Westin Hotels & Resorts, Le Meridien Hotels, Sheraton Hotels and Resorts and The Luxury Collection brands. Most recently, Mr. Buckley has been General Manager of the Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill Hotel. While in this role, he was responsible for a full property renovation and achieved improvements in Guest Satisfaction Scores, ADR Growth, and Associate Engagement. Mr. Buckley is active member of the Philadelphia hospitality community. He currently serves as a Board Member of the Independence Visitors Center Corporation, Member of the Hospitality Committee with Visit Philadelphia and long standing member of the Philadelphia Hotel Association.

Leonard Buckley is an alumnus of Drexel University – Class of 1982.
