John Halliday has been appointed as F&B director at Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara

Previously, Halliday served as the F&B manager at Desert Palm Dubai for four years before making the decision to move to Oman where he led a team of over 100 staff members to run the full F&B operations for of the hotel.

Before he joined Desert Palm Dubai, Halliday worked in Laos as a group F&B manager for Hotel de la Paix and 3 Nagas Boutique Hotel, situated in the province of Luang Prabang, Lao PDR in South East Asia.

Halliday first got his start in hospitality as a commis chef and later on worked in various roles in the industry including restaurant manager at the Suites Hotel in Liverpool, UK and operations manager at De Vere Daresbury Park Hotel in Warrington, UK.

The new role will be Halliday's second stint in Oman as he previously worked with the Hyatt Hotel Group as assistant F&B director/entertainments manager.
