Tomas Ford has been appointed as General Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Guayaquil
A 13-year industry veteran, Tomas began his hospitality career in 2005 at the Marriott Plaza Hotel, Buenos Aires as Front Office Supervisor. In 2008, he relocated to Europe where held different leadership positions in operations at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott, Bexleyheath Marriott, and Waltham Abbey Marriott Hotel. In 2013, Tomas was promoted to Executive Housekeeper at the Hanbury Manor, Marriott Hotel and Country Club. During his tenure in Europe, Tomas achieved outstanding results in associate engagement, house profit and guest satisfaction. He was also recognized as Manager of the Year in 2012.
Tomas brings a wealth of extensive international background leading all aspects of hotel operations. He holds a master's Degree in hotel management by Centro International de Hoteleria y Servicios, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Tomas moved to Ecuador from the JW Marriott El Convento Cusco, Peru, where he has severed as Operations Manager for the past two years. He is excited to call Guayaquil his new home and he's he is committed to providing memorable and enriching experiences to the guests of the Courtyard brand in Guayaquil.
