Torsten Obermann has been appointed as General Manager at Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay
Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay, Dubai has appointed Torsten Obermann as the new general manager. He has taken over from Stephen Meredith who has assumed the role of general manager for the past two years.
To his new role, Obermann beings 27 years of hospitality and F&B experience and has worked across several brands in Europe, United States and the Middle East.
His previous roles include area general manager for JA Resorts and Hotels, Dubai. Other roles include executive assistant manager at JA Jebal Ali Golf Resort, Dubai and director of room division at The Dolder Grand, Zurich, Switzerland.
Obermann holds a Hospitality Management Diploma from Wihoga in Dortmund, Germany. In his new role as the general manager, he will oversee the 350-room property, including 29 suites designed for business and city leisure travellers.
Torsten Obermann is an alumnus of WIHOGA School of Management for the Hospitality Industry – Class of 1998.
